Well spring has arrived at the farm, and all our trees are in bloom, with the bees buzzing around. We are anticipating a good crop, as the weather has been favourable during this blossom period.
We anticipate that the crops should be ready in this order, or close to it:

We will also have many of our vegetables available through much of the summer season.
We are also planning to offer U-pick Hazelnuts again this summer, and will post more on this when the nuts begin to fall.
As our fruit begins to grow and ripen I will be able to give more accurate times to when we will be harvesting it and will update the website as soon as I know. We do take preorders for all varieties. I do encourage preordering for Gravenstein Apples and Sour Cherries, as we sell out of those very quickly.
We do still have some free range roasting chickens available, most are about six pounds or greater. They are available for $3.75 a pound. We will be raising more chickens starting late this spring, and will have more available for sale in the summer. These chickens are delicious and locally grown, perfect for the 100 mile diet.
Garside`s Fruit Farm will be attending the Abbotsford Farm and Country Market again this year, we anticipate arriving there in August. We generally have already sold out of our Gravenstein Apples and Sour Cherries before we arrive at the market, so if you wish to get some of this fruit, best to contact us soon, for a preorder.
We will be offering a delivery service again this year. More details to come.

Chickens
We are now sold out of our apples and hazelnuts for the 2009 season.
We do still have some squash and lots of our free range roasting chickens available.
Our chickens have been fed a top quality, locally produced, antibiotic free grain, the chickens were given no hormones and were allowed to run around outside.
The chickens are available for $3.50 per pound, and the average size is six to seven pounds.

Northern Spy Apples
We are now picking our Northern Spy Apples and they look great! Perfect apples for eating or baking with and they will keep nicely over the winter if kept in a cool dry location.
They are $1.00 per pound.
We also still have some Jonagold Apples left and those are also $1.00 per pound. We are now sold out of our Gloster Apples for the 2009 season.
We also have about 10 pounds or so left of picked Hazelnuts remaining and a few squash. The hazelnuts are $3.00 per pound and the squash are $1.00 per pound.

Abbotsford Farm & Country Market
We will be attending the Abbotsford Farm and Country Market this Spooky, Saturday morning - October 31st. Please come see our booth, we will be spookdified! This is the final outdoor market of the season, and likely our last showing at the market for this season. You can still pick up fruit at the farm though. The market runs from 9 am to 1 pm in the parking lot of the Trinity United Church on George Ferguson Way in Downtown Abbotsford.

We now have available our free run roasting chickens for sale. These chickens have been raised on our farm and were fed non-medicated feed and were allowed to graze outside and eat wild grasses. These chickens are large, juicy and delcious. Average weight is seven or so pounds. These chickens were professionally processed and frozen.

Last Chance for Hazelnuts!!!
Monday October 12th, will be our last day at the farm for U-pick hazelnuts. We have been open for picking for quite a number of weeks now and are almost picked out! We still have some picked hazelnuts available for purchase and they will be available at the farm and at Abbotsford Farm and Country Market next Saturday.
We are also now sold out of our Boskoop and Sinta Apples for this season. If you missed out this year on any of our apples we do take pre-orders for next years crops, so do not hesitate to let us know if you would like some next year!

Our wonderfully delicious Gloster Apples are now ready and looking great. They are a beautiful red coloured apple that is crisp, semi sweet in flavour overall a very refreshing apple.
This particular apple can generally last until approximately April, if stored correctly.
